This is a broad initiative within Tesco’s distribution layer to simplify the management of its operations. The original tech landscape consists of a large number of disconnected third-party tools. There was an opportunity to increase efficiency and reduce costs by integrating a self-constructed application.
In the initial design phase, the tool focused on reducing the over-resourcing of drivers to a schedule. The vision was to map a list of available drivers with the forecasted demand to indicate how many drivers are required for a particular day.
In collaboration with the UX designer and the business, I was responsible for turning concepts into prototypes and crafting the adjusted outcomes into final UI designs.
