The new UK banking regulation, Open Banking, enables third-party developers to build applications and services around the financial institutions. Through the use of open APIs, the customer is able to share relevant banking information. For example, users can now access their transaction details from one bank with their account from another bank.
I joined at the beginning of this project and was responsible for mapping the user journey with our visual design language for the three core brands: Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
We needed to integrate the new end-to-end journeys for managing the API connections into the existing eco-system for Internet Banking, as well as introducing Open Banking to the customers and ensure they are familiar with this new feature.
